Motorscooter safety is the same as motorcycle safety, and is a very important part of rider-ship. We recommend taking an MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) certified course which will teach you how to ride with a strategy. There are several skill levels to choose from, so even if you are an experienced rider- there is a course for you. If you happen to be a beginner, an added benefit is that you can get a road test-waiver upon completion of the course (any motorscooter above 50cc's requires a motorcycle license to operate in New York State). You may also be entitled to a significant insurance discount, just check with your provider.


If you are local to the New York City area, then we recommend you train at either the MSS (Motorcycle Safety School) located in Brooklyn or MSI (Motorcycle Safety Institute) located in Queens. Both school's trainers are certfied by MSF, so you know you're getting quality instruction.
